Inflation doesn’t wait — and neither should your financial planning.

A goal that costs ₹6 lakh today could cost ₹8 lakh in 5 years. A ₹50 lakh home today could require ₹80 lakh in 7 years. Similarly, education, marriage and retirement goals can become significantly more expensive over time. This is why goal-based financial planning matters. SIPs can be an effective tool for preparing for medium- and long-term goals through disciplined, regular investing. 📊 Planning for retirement ?Understanding your future corpus requirement, inflation and investment horizon is an important first step. If you would like to understand how a retirement corpus calculation works, connect with Finguide Buddy. 🧓 Retirement Planning: Start with the Right Corpus

How much could you need for retirement? The answer depends on several factors, including your current age, expected retirement age, monthly expenses, inflation, investment horizon and assumptions about returns. A retirement corpus calculation can help you understand the amount you may need to plan for your post-retirement years. 💡 Key takeaway: Retirement planning is not just about saving more—it is about understanding your future financial requirements and starting your planning early. 📈 Consistency Matters More Than Timing

Investing is not always about finding the perfect time to enter the market. Markets can be unpredictable, and waiting for the “right” moment may make it difficult to maintain a disciplined approach. A consistent investment habit can help investors stay focused on their long-term objectives rather than reacting to short-term market movements. 💡 Key takeaway: Focus on building a disciplined investment habit instead of trying to predict every market move. Your investment approach should consider your financial goals, risk profile and time horizon. 🌱 The Power of Starting Early

When it comes to investing, time can be an important factor. Starting early gives your investments a longer period to potentially benefit from compounding. Even a modest investment, when maintained consistently over a longer horizon, can have the opportunity to grow over time. The objective is not to predict short-term market movements, but to develop a disciplined investment approach suited to your financial goals and time horizon. 💡 Key takeaway: Starting early can give compounding more time to work. 📈 Stay Invested Through Market Volatility

Markets naturally move through periods of ups and downs. Short-term volatility is a normal part of investing, but reacting emotionally to every market movement can make it difficult to remain focused on your longer-term objectives. A disciplined investment approach means keeping your investment horizon, risk profile and financial goals in mind while reviewing your portfolio periodically. 💡 Key takeaway: Market volatility is difficult to predict. Instead of reacting to every short-term movement, maintaining discipline and focusing on the long term can help investors stay aligned with their financial objectives. 📈 Avoid Trying to Time the Market

Market movements can be difficult to predict consistently. Trying to identify the perfect time to enter or exit the market may lead investors to make decisions based on short-term emotions and market fluctuations. A disciplined, long-term approach can help investors stay focused on their financial objectives rather than reacting to every market movement. 💡 Key takeaway: Instead of focusing on predicting every market high or low, investors can consider maintaining an investment approach aligned with their time horizon, risk profile and financial goals. Regular investing through SIPs is one approach investors may consider for disciplined investing, while remembering that mutual fund investments are subject to market risks. Sectoral Valuations After the Recent Market Correction

Recent market corrections have led to a moderation in valuations across several sectors. As shown in the chart, some sectors are currently trading closer to, above, or below their long-term average valuation levels based on the 12-month forward Price-to-Earnings (P/E) ratio. Valuation is just one of many factors considered while evaluating investment opportunities. Company fundamentals, earnings growth, economic conditions, risk profile, and long-term financial goals also play an important role in investment decisions. Rather than focusing only on short-term market movements, investors should adopt a disciplined, goal-based investment approach and review their portfolio periodically. 📞 Rajesh Kathpalia, CFP® AMFI Registered Mutual Fund Distributor | ARN-257079 📱 +91 9891064528 🌐 www.finguidebuddy.com Source: HDFC Mutual Fund (Data based on Kotak Institutional Equities estimates as mentioned in the image.) Budget 2026: Important Tax Change for Secondary Market Sovereign Gold Bonds (SGBs)

The Finance Bill 2026 has introduced an important clarification regarding the taxation of Sovereign Gold Bonds (SGBs) purchased from the secondary market. What has changed? ✅ Original Subscribers: Investors who subscribed to SGBs at the time of the original issue and hold them until maturity will continue to enjoy tax-free redemption (subject to applicable Government rules). ✅ Secondary Market Buyers: Investors who purchased SGBs through NSE or BSE after the original issue will no longer receive tax-free redemption. Capital gains at maturity will now be taxed as Long-Term Capital Gains (LTCG) at 12.5%, plus applicable surcharge and cess. What remains unchanged? • SGBs continue to be Government-backed securities. • Investors continue to receive 2.5% annual interest, paid semi-annually. • Interest income remains taxable as per the investor's applicable income tax slab.
